The Company's first radio licence was obtained in 1986 when the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission approved the acquisition of CHTN in Charlottetown, PEI. Through the years, the Company has invested significant resources in acquiring attractive radio properties and taking advantage of new licence opportunities.
The Company's primary long-term vision has been, and continues to be, to increase its presence in Canadian markets by making sound investments in the broadcasting industry. At present, Newfoundland Capital Corporation is one of Canada's leading small and medium market radio broadcasters with 96 licences across the country.
The Company will continue to seek out strategic opportunities in the future.
